He was born and raised in Panama. He graduated from Tulane Law School as Managing Editor of the Tulane Law Review. He then practiced trial law at the firm of Gordon and Rees in San Francisco for the better part of a decade. Before moving to Costa Rica to become a tree farmer, and later a real estate Eco developer, he lived in the Peruvian Amazon for 3 1/2 years, where he co-founded Rainforest Health Project, which later became Amazon Promise. Since that time he has been writing books and more recently, doing legal work for Pacific Coast Law. His duties include acting as client’s liaison and helping the lawyers at the office. He and Rosario were married in 2005 and have two children, Jack and Paloma.
